Sandbox MMO BitCraft Begins its Pre-Alpha Testing, With New Invites Set to Go Out in Waves

  • 1

BitCraft’s pre-alpha testing has begun. It’s the first chance players have to get a peek inside the mechanics and world of BitCraft, and is expected to last for several months. Clockwork Labs will begin small and continue to send invites in waves as they make changes based on the testing data.

It’s still possible to sign up for pre-alpha testing if you want to take part in helping the development of the sandbox MMO. The devs say that their goal is to get a small group of players to give them first impressions and feedback, but do plan to grow this over time as they get the data needed. They want to know how the game mechanics work with live players and in a controlled environment.

Because this is pre-alpha, this is the stage where things can be early and quite messy, but that’s where testers come in, of course. Start small and give feedback and there should be significant changes coming in in the future. The small pre-alpha will be done under NDA but they do promise more open alpha periods later.

As a sandbox MMO taking place in one massive world that everyone can leave their mark on, and permanently change, BitCraft emphasizes the social aspects and player decisions, so these early groups of testers have the potential to make a pretty significant impact. The game will let you explore, do some crafting, trade, learn to farm, and skill up. You’ll also have some decisions to make about your role in the world, however. With permanent change always a factor, social and strategic decisions that will make the world what it is, with city building and even building empires possible.
